About Us

The Richmond Bay Watershed Association Inc, established in 2004, is a non-profit community-based organization governed by a board of directors. We work to rehabilitate, conserve, and protect watersheds and promote watershed stewardship and environmental education in Central Prince County, PEI, Canada.

Our area of work encompasses streams and watercourses connected with the Grand River (Wellington), Trout River (Tyne Valley), Little Trout River (Richmond), as well as all western watersheds and watershed land flowing into the area formally referred to as Richmond Bay.

"We envision a compassionate and involved community that actively participates in the restoration, conservation, and stewardship of watersheds, with the ultimate goal of ensuring clean water and healthy ecosystems for generations to come."

What We Do

Restore and maintain freshwater ecosystems with healthy habitats and connectivity 

Promote the active care, stewardship, and effective management of watersheds to ensure their long-term health and sustainability

Enhance and maintain riparian zones to support native plant diversity and healthy ecosystems
